Locations

Fredbear's Family Diner was opened in 1978 in Peterborough, Ontario by mascot creator William Afton & engineer Henry Emily. Not much is known about it or how long it ran for outside of the fact that the mascot costumes were reused for when they opened FFP- a yellow Fredbear mascot and a yellow bunny mascot. It's believed to have been shortly lived.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was opened in 1983 in London, Ontario within the Baywood Plaza. This location would see more success, regarded by those in the area as a good restaurant for families and young kids. Freddy's was often advertised in the newspaper with one TV ad rumored to have been produced.

Among the menu items was pizza, sandwiches, & wings as well as ice cream offered for birthdays. While Freddy's didn't have as many games as Showbiz Pizza or Chuck E Cheese, the small selection of games they did have was reportedly a Pac-Man cocktail cabinet, Mouse Trap, Berserk, an unnamed space shooter, Dragon Stomper, Card Whiz, Solar Ride, and Pattie Cakes (Whack-a-Mole).

The most notable feature of Freddy's was its animatronic band The Fazbear Pack, featuring Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, and Chica the Chicken. A single set of recorded audio shows were commissioned from local musical group BLAH for the characters to sing and perform. Foxy the Pirate was another animated character located down across from the dining area, who's attraction was closed indefinitely due to maintenance that presumably never happened. Not much is known about Foxy, though he allegedly regaled anyone that was keen to listen with pirate stories from his years long past.

On June 26th 1991 two children went missing from inside Freddy's and soon after three more followed. It was around this time that the restaurant was already seeing it's worst days with the characters being in disrepair and fewer games being available, as well as repeated reports of sanitary risks. The restaurant would close soon after these incidents . One of the costume performers was deemed to be a dangerous individual and was arrested- It's frequently rumored that he was not the suspect behind these disappearances.

In 1995, the restaurant would suddenly open again in the same building under the name "Freddybear's". Among other changes like repainted walls and new designated party rooms, the animatronics were given cutesey redesigns and sung songs aimed more at much younger audiences. This location would only last a year before shutting down, permanently marking the end of Freddy's.

Rumors & Hoaxes

Black_colour.jpg

"The Bite of 87"
A supposed incident that happened in the frightening, aforementioned year of 1987.. allegedly an animatronic bit the head of a kid and he was sent to the hospital. I couldn't find any newspaper mentioning an animatronic biting the head off a kid... and I don't think they would have enough money to cover it up -_________- I think it's safe to say........ it is RIDICULOUS!!!! The rumor is usually attributed to Foxy in relation to Pirate Cove's closure, but I think he's too much of a sweetheart to do that.

Ghosts
The most common Freddy's rumor is the ghosts of the 5 missing kids being trapped inside of the resutaurant's building- more specifically in the animatronics themselves. It's been said that before the restaurant closed and the animatronics were relocated/disposed of, they would roam around the building at night before staying on their stages for the day.

In the assumed scenario that spirits are on Earth with us, and I don't disregard those who believe that, I don't see why they would be contained by Freddy's- what would keep them inside? Freddy's was apart of a plaza, so can they not go to the other places in the building? As much as there's obviously fun in ghost stories, I think it's better and more respectful to have the belief that these children have moved on. Usually a ghost is said to stay on Earth if they have a purpose to do so that needs to be fulfilled.. the only reasons left that they would stay is if they're vengeful, or they want to watch over loved ones. I can't imagine they'd be trapped in Freddy's or wherever they were taken to for either of those outcomes, and I don't think they deserve to in any scenario that they're still with us.

I've recently been made aware that this site has been linked to on a popular paranormal page. I don't condone this and they haven't rrsponded to my request to take it down... this page is not affiliated with (Karen's) Ghost Page.

DO NOT SUPPORT FAZBEAR FRIGHTS

Black_colour.jpg

Writing this as of 10/20/2003. if any of you are in the (blah) area you might've caught wind of this attraction apart of the (blah) carnival haunt opening this week. This (blah) is seemingly legally disconnected from Freddy's and any of its previous owners.

I guess we know now where the original bots went.. and even a costume from Fredbear's. This would be incredible news if they weren't bastardized and modified into monsters by the team that obtained them. Painted, shit tacked onto them, etc. I dont even know how they got their hands on them but it hurts to see them kept in such a horrible state just standing and rotting in there.. It's not even worth going there to see them when they're in this state. I'd love to see them restored at some point but as things stand now it's out of the question. I wouldn't be surprised if they will just be thrown out when the attraction isn't continued anymore.

Not only is it disrespectful to the bots but to the missing kids that lost their lives at the original Freddy's; you can say the ghost rumors are only rumors but they were based on real lost lives. And now they're profiting off of it!!!

Even if you're someone that doesn't frequent this site page, fuck Fazbear Frights. I think it goes without saying to not support them.
